Kip Ioane
Willamette University Head Men's Basketball Coach

Kip Ioane has been around Bearcat Hoop for a long time. He played for legendary Willamette University coach Gordie James, and then spent eight years as an assistant.  Ioane took over as Willamette’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach in 2009. He also took on the role of camp director for Willamette University’s Pro Hoop Camp.

Ione was a two-year captain and a four-year letterman for the Bearcats, and was a finalist for the Josten’s Trophy, given to the top NCAA Division III player who best combines basketball success with achievements in the classroom.

“I am honored to take over for Gordie James as the new camp director and Head Coach. He has been a mentor, friend, and teacher to not only me but everyone he has ever coached. I look forward to continuing his tradition of excellence.”

Our expienced staff, comprised of college coaches, high school and middle school teachers and coaches is extraordinary! This is a teaching camp and we pride ourselves on having phenomenal fundamental instruction. Our staff is Supplemented with high quarlity college student athletes who are exceptionally resopnsible and conscientious and are positive role models for campers of all ages. Our staff really cares about the welfare of every camper and works very hard at making this a special week of hoop.
